The shape of water is entirely dependent on the container around it. Pour your water into a bottle, or a jug or a bowl, and it will conform itself accordingly.
Here, we’re concerned with the water of the spirit. We expect to find spiritual content in familiar containers — hymns, rituals, prayers — and so we do find it there. But we believe that the shape of this spiritual water is not limited to those forms. Our mission is to seek and illuminate this water in the arts and popular culture. Those works that are not overtly identified as “spiritual” can convey profound truths, if they are true to life. Human stories are spiritual stories.
This blog is the work, primarily, of two authors, Michael and G.R. Readers should be aware that we do not agree on everything … in fact, we may disagree more than we agree. Each post represents the view of its author and not necessarily the other collaborator. We have very different spiritual histories and perspectives.
We hope you’ll share this journey with us. Add your comments to our entries, share your thoughts and opinions, whether you agree with us or want to argue a point. We welcome you on the road.
